Bees

I took this video of my honeybees working. They seemed a little camera shy. The first hive was busier than the rest but, not so much as this video suggests. Some of the movement in the beginning is due to a bee getting caught in my hair.

I will take some better pictures after I cut the grass and paint the hives. Beehives need to be painted every year because of all the traffic from the bees going in and out of the hive.

I sold my honey harvest to a local bakery. It was great to get some easy cash while I am on vacation.

The people at the bakery and their products are great.

My Niece, Lindsay Urbani and Jesse Cash married

Lindsay and Jesse Cash married. You can see they used some honey for a wedding favor, which was a nice touch. The last photo is me with my mother.

Manhattan and farm

I went to the farm when I came home. It is funny, being in Montana in the middle of no where when I was just in Midtown Manhattan earlier in the morning.

The summer in Montana has been fairly cold and wet. The grass is good and it is still relatively green for September. I need to cut the grass around my beehives. You can see my old pickup. It is almost as old as me. It belonged to my father. It is a 1968 Chevrolet with 158,000 miles. I rebuilt the engine a few years ago so it runs great. But, as you can see it has seen some hard use.

I am exhausted. I can't remember when I slept last. I have been having fun. I need this vacation from NYC.

Yankee Game

Here is a picture of me at the last Yankee Game I will go to at the old stadium, September 13, 2008. The Yankees lost 7 to 1 against Tampa Bay.

My neighbor in my building died. I have found quite a few interesting bits of information about this man. My life in NYC has been quite interesting the last month. Some very interesting people and ideas have come my way. Truth is definitely stranger than fiction

I will elaborate more later.

I am busy now getting ready to visit Montana to attend my niece's wedding.
